Our focus on cultural experiences and sustainable development in rural Limpopo tend to attract wonderful guests and many fascinating discussions have taken place around the pool or fire place at the lodge. The farmhouse has DSTV and Wi-Fi if you’d like to get a “reality check” from time to time.
Slow fusion food in our restaurant
We serve breakfast and dinner on the farmhouse’s veranda or in the dining room-lounge. During winter we light traditional Venda “fire-pots” on the veranda and in summer we let the doors wide open to enjoy the cool breeze, hear the nocturnal sounds and get a glimpse of the crystal clear southern stars. Guests frequently get hooked at the breakfast nook of our open plan kitchen-lounge-dining room and chat to the chefs whilst they prepare their meals.
Scrumptious dinner, breakfast, lunches and picnics
We offer a three course dinner as a set menu in the evenings. There is normally a fair amount of fusion between Dutch and African dishes and ingredients. Fresh vegetables and fruit from the region and a salad are always included. Breakfast is a varied buffet of yogurts, fruits, cereals, baked muesli, home baked bread and muffins, cheese and various egg dishes. Lunches and picnics can easily be arranged on request. We cater for most special dietary requirements on prior arrangement.
